Deer is also a symbol of wealth. Deer is homophonic to "Lu", which means high-ranking officials and high salaries. Deer is also homophonic to "Lu", which means counting deer and running slowly and smoothly, implying smooth sailing and extending in all directions. The designer uses the sketch technique to embody the implied meaning he wants to express in the mural.
